Scenery Of Countryside

Posted by Nyanko on 11:16 PM in
I'm a worker of Public Health Center, and one of my important job is to prevent food poisoning.
So I go on patrol to the restaurants to promote atention to the owners to cook food enough and much more cautious when they serve raw food like Sashimi.

Today, I went around countryside of our city.People here are VERY at ease.Only few people lock their house when they go out.

Tofu Shop

This is a Tofu shop without any keeper.

Money Box

People come and take Tofu away from fridge and leave money into the box.

School Boy

This is a boy waiting his mother come to pick him up.He lives just edge of the region, and it's far from school.
It used to be a resort houses where he lives, but now there living many families and make a little village.
Parents have to take their children to this shop by car, on the half way to school. Then, children walk to school for 30munites from here.
I can't understand why people choose to live in such inconvenient region, well, it's supposed to be the best place for vacation!

Viva! Mobile Phone!

Posted by Nyanko on 5:24 PM in

This is my mobile phone. It has a strap of Muttley, (Japanese name is Kenken) who is the best partner of Dastardly in "Wacky Race"".

Japanese mobile phone is very convenient. It has variable functions, and I can do whatever I want only with my mobile phone.
I read today's headline news in the morning, and check the weather report of my region.
Then I read some blog posts of my favorites or of my friends.

When I found something I don't know, I can search by google quickly.
If I have to go business trip tomorrow, I can search the way and fee of every means of transportation.
I use some kinds of dictionary, and I play games when I have so much time and don't have anything else to do.

Whenever I got a new schedule, I soon put it on my mobile phone and set alarm not to forget that.
I often buy something at auction site with mobile phone.
I can check all my PC mail, and reserve every kind of tickets, download music, take photos, watch TV and Youtube...everything with mobile phone!

Acutally, some young people don't have PC for net cruising.

Now I'm going to post this article by mobile phone.
It's effective utility of my time! ;-)

Long Time No See.....

Posted by Nyanko on 12:04 AM in
I'm tired... :-(

Actually I haven't publish a new post for a month.
I wonder what I have been doing...
At the end of May, Novel Influenza patient was confirmed in our city at last.
We had been a little busier with investigation or answering phone calls from people here.We opened 24hours phone answering section, and we stayed over night in our office by 2 shifts.

And I ran around here and there to trap many cats and spay/neuter them. Then, we accepted a lot of kittens and keep them to find new owners, but kittens' conditions changed worth suddenly, so we often had to run to vet.

Further more, my younger daughter did something very bad to her friend and school, so school teachers callled me and my husband to school.
They told my daughter to stay at home for 5days and think over deeply, why she did like that and how she should do from now.

I've been a littele tired in these days...Further more, it's very humid and uncomfortable in this season...

Now situations are getting better a little by little.
July is the busiest month in my office, so I have to encourage myself.
Gambarimasu!

Hard Weekend

Posted by Nyanko on 1:09 AM in , ,

A worker of Welfare Soceity of old people came to me and said.An old woman has to be hospitalized and her nephew, a half Japanese Canadian came to take care of her.But the old woman was feeding stray cats and now 12 cats including 6 kittens are around her house, so her house is terribly messy.
The Canadian nephew said, "I have to clean my aunt's house, so are there anyone who will take cats away from the house?"
So, I decided to catch all cats and spay/neuter them, then ask a neighbor who is a friend of the old woman to keep cats for a while.

On Saturday, we brought many traps and cages, started to catch cats.
Neighbours are very good people and used to take care of the old woman and cats, so they cooporated to catsh the cats and said that they would donate for spay/neuter them.

Canadian woman said, "In Canada, Humain Society does all about animals and we don't have to worry what to do in such cases. Why aren't there the Humane Society in Japan?"
Yes, she is right. We don't have any organizations like Humane Society.Public animal control can only accept cats and destroy them, they can't make all of them adopted.

But there are many people who are kind to animals, so our NPO want to help those people.
It took whole day to catch 6 adult cats and 2 kittens. There still remain 2 other adults and 4 kittens, but they didn't appeared any more, so we gave up to catch them and decided to restart another day.
Then, we spay/neutered them and brought them to foster care.

Next day was Sunday, and we went to check again, but we couldn't catch cats anymore.I don't know where they go and what to do.
Then I had to go to over night work, because of Influenza, so I asked neighbours to contact me if they found cats again.

It was so hard weekend, but I was happy to work for people who are so kind to other people and animals!
