The pet stuffs shopper IRISOHYAMA inc. released the ranking of cats' name in Japan of 2010.
 That was,
No.1  Momo (it means a peach)
No.2  Chibi (it means small, little, tiny)
  No.3  Kuro (it means black)
No.4  Mie (maybe the voice of meow)
No.5  Hana (it means a flower)
No.6  Tora (it means a tiger)
No.7  Nana (same as a girl's name of human)
No.8  Sakura (it means cherry blossoms)
  No.9  Milk (it is milk)
  No.10 Lin (no means)

The traditional cats' name are "Tama (it means a kind of a ball)", "Mike (it means carico)",
"Buchi (it means spots)"... I wonder how they name of their cats in other countries.

 What do you name her?

I googled the top ten cat names in the US for 2008: 1. Max
2. Chloe
3. Tigger
4. Tiger
5. Lucy
6. Smokey
7. Oliver
8. Bella
9. Shadow
10. Charlie

I am surprised by "Bella" but maybe it is from the "Twilight" books. Some common, old-fashioned names that didn't make the list are Whiskers, Mittens, or Patches (for a calico). I almost named kittens Patches and Tiger once but changed my mind and picked more unusual names.

The list for 2009 is very similar but includes the name "Angel" (and "Bella" has moved higher up the list).
